Verizon To Offer iPhone 4
AT&T Vs. Verizon Network Wars...
But the thing is, I don't think you are going to see an immediate impact either way. Sure, there will be people who will pay upward of $500 to get out of their AT&T contract and move to Verizon. But I don't think you will see the mass exodus that folks are predicting. Most iPhone users aren't rich enough to drop that kind of money. So Verizon will see a steady flow of customers if anything. Their network will hold up simply because there won't be a mass exodus.
I still think AT&T is legit in that the iPhone was unhead of when it first came out and whether it started on Verizon, Sprint, or T-Mobile. No one could predict what the iPhone did in 2007 and 2008. But AT&T getting dragged through the mud on this gave all the networks time to make changes and really focus on their network.
