oh there you are big brother!
not to be too much of a "sidewalk doomsday prophet" but this really seems like a first step to completely invasive marketing strategies. Essentially, we currently have a limited power to avoid these ads by not using the internet, soon we may not (as pointed out in another post). Additionally, are the customers getting anything back for this? No, of course not. And why should the backbone of consumerism (the consumers) recieve ANY sort of benefit from conglomerates? I just hope the GSM carriers take a long, long time to follow verizon's lead.

You used too many big words for me 😢

Well I don't think its very smart to ad-sponser something your users pay for. That's why I'm all for things like Sirius Satelite Radio.
Ad sponserships should be to services that are not paid for by the users.
I was checking out a sprint phone and was browsing the web on it..and apparently they no longer have this ad sponserhip, because I did not see any ads.
I also checked out Cingular phones and saw no ads. I think the other carriers are going to be ad free for a long time.
