Motorola to Cut Jobs, Close Offices, Focus on Fewer Phones
It's a great idea
to dial back the number of new phones. Motorola's been killing themselves with all those Android phones for Verizon. Do they really need 3 or4 different high end models on sale at the same time all competing for a customer's attention? NO!! It causes more customer confusion than it produces more sales.

I think you're going to see this as a trend from all, the 5 to 6 month span of new devices from all phone makers is going to be paired down. Android is now established. Better off making one killer phone a year, maybe two is going to be a trend. Development and support for all of these has to be real expensive.
