I have this phone working with Cingular. Let me ask you this: When you go to the messaging menu, then options, then settings, then select multimedia message, is the option "Image size" selected to Large? If not this might be your problem.
Here's one other thing you can try: When your viewing the thumbnail picture, go to options and select "Play message". This will also enlarge your picture.

Actually, I think you probably would still have support for the N80 from nokiausa. They are selling the N80 at the Nokia Flagship store in Chicago, so I don't see why they wouldn't be able to help. You might even want to try and call the Chicago store. I've read the guys their are very knowledgeable

I wonder if it has something to do with ID3 tags and iTunes incompatibility. itunes and that whole digital rights management crap might be causing problems. I download from allofmp3.com these days. It's no problem at all. When I got mine, I was worried about the same thing. The easiest thing to do is go to nokiausa.com and you can download settings for the N80 that's specifically for Cingular's network. It's easy. Their website will send you a text message that you save to your phone. It will then automatically configure it for you.

Well guys I've given up on playing the waiting game for Nokia to release the UMTS 1900 version. I figured 3G won't be available from Cingular until September here in the Kansas City, MO area anyway. Here is the plan I've got in mind. If and when the U.S. N80 phone is released, I'll just sell mine on Ebay. That would be great if you could get that info. What a HUGE help. The thing is, I figure it might take some time for it to show up, even with online yellowpages. Speaking for it's thickness, I don't think it's too bad. I've got a Samsung I500 flip-phone now that is almost exactly the same thickness when the phone is closed. I've been carrying it in my pocket for a couple of years now without it bothering me.

Yeah, I'm holding out for the wcdma 1900 too, but if it's not out in another month or two, I'll still get it. At least I can still use cingular's EDGE (I think???) It's not as fast as 3G service, but it's better than what I've got now. :D

I currently have a Samsung I500 with Palm OS. The best thing about the phone is that I can input a more than fair amount of data with ease directly with the phone. This is of course, because of the handwritting recognition pad and/or the touchscreen keyboard. I'm worried that only a num pad will hinder my productivity when it comes using the phone to directly input notes on the calender, memo pad, etc.

So I don't get it. I thought Cingular supports WCDMA 850 and 1900 MHz and I see the affliate website list this as a supported band, so why wouldn't it work with Cingular's high speed Internet?
