Dot View Case

The swipe down to activate voice calling does NOT work on my phone. I took the case off, put it back on, power cycled, repositioned, ensured it's fitting properly, everything I can think of. Still no swipe down function. Reinstalled the app as well. The double tap works fine. But one of the most important features that I liked isn't there. Go figure. So today I went to the AT&T store to try it out on maybe another phone. ...

Finally!

Jeez. I'm on week 2 of uploading my 17,000 song library. And it's barely up to like 1,400 or something. It's taking FOR-EH-VER. I would have thought that they integrated this feature when they first started this whole thing

I love that feature. I mark something on my calendar on my Mac at home and there it is on my phone. Love it. I thought that was a super wow fantastic feature. Why?

Word has it that it was Verizon's instructions to HTC to limit the DNA's expandable memory. Two theories were that: a) it would be too much competition for Moto's new devices (from what I understand, Moto and Verizon work VERY closely together) b) You'd have to use the cloud for most of your storage, therefore using more data. $$$ As for the non removeable battery. Yup, totally disagree. Unless it has a mammoth battery like the Maxx.... just... why?

Let's go to the mall! Ok we should start our Christmas shopping. *mall shopping What time is it? *pull phone out to check time Why won't it turn on? What's going on?! WHY IS THE SCREEN CRACKED?!?! That's how it went down. There is a crack running across the screen. How? When? What happened? I have no clue. Maybe I bumped into a corner. Maybe I leaned against a counter too hard. Did not drop ...

As RichardM said, yup, the menu icon will switch around depending on which app you're using. It does take a while to get used to. Especially when nothing is labeled. Everything has now changed to icons with no description to what they are really. Just takes practice I guess.

Hmm... very very true. I know I definitely would have taken back my Maxx HD and exchanged it for this phone if it included the storage space that the Maxx has. Those are some really great features. Plus, I love HTC Sense so much better than the Moto's UI. Then again, maybe not. The battery life was a huge factor in getting the Maxx.

Just wondering then, why would they let a phone like the Maxx HD through? After all it has the 32 GB and expandable. I have mine with a 32 GB card in it as well. Where is the difference?

So far the phone is pretty awesome. Battery life is everything it's hyped up to be. I'm sure the battery does need some conditioning and a few charge and discharge cycles to gain it's full potential. Worth getting, yes. The camera. Ugh, I'd hate to say it, but... yeah... it sucks. The pictures are as everyone says, just "OK". Nothing impressive what so ever. 8 MP? No way. The camera on my old ...

Just today I found a heat flashlight app. Perfect for what I needed. Now I'll go find those widgets you speak of. I think I've seen them before. Also, I'll have to look into this Go launcher as well. Haven't heard of that one.

Oh... and no widget available to easily turn off the data. I'm just afraid of using up data needlessly when my phone is idle.

I'm coming from the HTC Droid. The first one. I've spent two years with the HTC phone and have become very accustomed to a few things. These are features which I thought would carry over to any other phone. Very very very useful features to me. First of all, the clock. There are only two types of clocks? The "circle" widget, which has a clock, weather, and battery life. The other clock is an analog ...

Anyone notice some weird things about this phone?

Here's a couple odd quirks I found on my phone. First of all, since you can't assign individual mp3 ringtones to each contact, I put my girlfriend in her own group and gave her a specific ringtone. One day I wanted to see if the "No Caller ID ringtone" worked. (you know how you can assign a specific ringtone for all numbers that are blocked or the caller ID is not available). Well I told my girlfriend to block her number ...
