IMS Voice (VoLTE)
Is this supported on the ZTE Avid for MetroPCS?
Re: Yeesh... no T-Mobile
OK. So, T-Mo LTE will be AWS/1700/Band IV in future. 1900MHz will be 3G/HPA+ services. 1900MHz/Band II will support WCDMA voice/data on T-Mo. So, the Sony Xperia will work on T-Mo metro areas. Correct?
Re: Yeesh... no T-Mobile
Question: does T-Mo now have a roaming agreement with AT&T whereby 1900 (WCDMA Band II) is offered? This is probably only in major urban areas at this point. T-Mo CTO blog said that iPhone users on T-Mo net will see better performance with 1900 access!
Re: t-zones v. t-zones Pro
Great explanation - thanks. Question/clarification: with t-zones (not t-zones Pro) can you browse outside the t-zones environment to any web site? For example, download Yahoo!Mobile and use it - without incurring extra costs.
t-zones v. t-zones Pro
Been to two T-Mobile stores and still don't really get the difference. Can someone explain? Thanks. P.S. Point me to a thread if it's already explained.
Nokia 6086 and Browsing
Just got the 6086 to try the @Home service. Works quite well. However, I'm trying to use the phone's browser and the message "Data you are sending will be redirected to another server. Continue?" keeps appearing and the web site doesn't come up. This does not happen on all sites.
Also, downloaded Opera Mini and get the message "Application access set to not allowed." Anyone got an idea for getting this browser working on a T-Mobile phone.
I've got T-Zones ...
Re: Hurry up T-Mobile!
Tend to agree with andy2373.
GSM is a great way to go for voice. Some urban role out of HSPA (R.6/7) to complement in data would be good as a bridging until LTE. And LTE is a natural evolution for a GSM network like T-Mobile US.
New Motorola Phone Tools Version Available?
I've seen Motorola Phone Tools version 4 being offered by yourwirelesssource.com. Have they released a new upgraded version?
Bluetooth Questions
I want to start getting into this Bluetooth thing.I just got a V3 with T-Mobile service.
What Bluetooth profiles are supported by the V3?
Is the V3 loaded with Bluetooth 1.2?
Also, what the best Bluetooth USB device to us?
Thanks.
Re: Why does T-Mobile voice quality sound so much better then Cingular?
If your talking about voice quality, it's called AMR codec technology. T-Mobile enables their newer phones with AMR. This is a high quality voice encoding algorithm. This is public information. Take a look at the T-Mobile DE website in the investors section. The T-Mobile US engineering head discusses this in detail.
New voicemail as old problems
I have been switched over to the new voicemail system since last week. I'm in Europe at present and I'm still have the same old voicemail problem when traveling. While overseas, if I leave my phone on and don't answer a call, the caller doesn't go into my voicemail. Instead, the caller gets a message, "Welcome to the T-Mobile messaging center. Please enter the 10 digit number of the person you're trying to reach." Since most of the people ...
Re: OK - Mighty Phone Sounds too good to be true...
T-Mobile deactivates SyncML on phones they offer. So MightlyPhone don't work with T-Mobile. When I asked T-Mobile they said it was to do with their WAP server software verion. However, T-Mobile's V300 and Nokia 6620 may have it activated.
Re: New International long distance rates ???
Appreciate the info. Thanks.
Re: New International long distance rates ???
This bad for T-Mobile's best customers. With my monthly service well in excess of $1000, I consider myself a good customer. This increase will add substantially to my monthly T-Mobile bill.
SyncML support
I signed up for MightyPhone service at mightyphone.com only to find that my Motorola V600 from T-Mobile doesn't have the service enabled. I called Motorola support and they said T-Mobile asked for the SyncML support to be disabled. Anyone konw if T-Mobile has plans to support this in future.
Reporting Coverage
How do I report coverage issues? I just signed up for T-Mobile and queried their website on a zip code. Website came up positive, i.e., confirmed coverage. I find now that coverage in the town concerned is nonexistant. I want to the nearest T-Mobile shore and they brought up a pretty detailed map of the area coverage on their computer. Right enough, the town concerned is in a coverage hole, i.e. coverage is to the East and West, North ...
