Re: Send in the Clowns
You're probably right. But Dish has never really shown any true interest in building out a network. They've only shown themselves out to be spectrum hoarders. They blatantly lied to the FCC about their intentions and got away with buying spectrum for cheap and trying to pass it off to likes of Verizon and AT&T in order to make a profit. Only problem was that the big 2 aren't interested. So Dish kept holding out for some sucker to ...
Re: End of a Legacy
I've never had a dropped call using Verizon's VoLTE. T-Mobile either. Sprint's CDMA is the champion of dropped calls.
No Thanks
If the merger happens to get approved (who knows with unpredictable administration) then Sprint, Boost and Virgin should die. If Sprint's million MVNO's want to stay than fine.
Re: Still 1080p and 401ppi in 2018?
I meant 1440 x 2560 my bad
Still 1080p and 401ppi in 2018?
Seriously? I know it's sort of a budget high end device per say but damn after 6 iterations you cant up the ante a bit and slap a 2k screen on it? Especially since it's a big ass 6.2" incher? Come on smh
Okay
If only they could get VoLTE and their stock above $5
Re: G6 is a strange choice
V30 screen sucks and it's overpriced. Most will opt for Galaxy at that price point anyway instead. No one really cares about Quad DAC except audiophiles. It's definitely not a Note killer without the pen and awful screen. LG really needs to work on it's OLED manufacturing. I agree with PS original assessment. For the money, the G6 is the better value.
Re: G6 is a strange choice
True the G6 may have shipped with last years processor but it's a good phone. So the screen isn't OLED but it's a damn good screen considering. Accurate colors, bright, HDR. Overall for the price it was a steal. I don't like the screen on the V30. They're not as good as Samsungs panels and suffers from blue shift.
Re: LOL
Well yes, obviously. I meant that statement based on Sprint's previous track record.
LOL
5G in 2019? Yea ok. They don't even have VoLTE yet
Re: Project Fi...
Sprint and US Cellular won't be around for much longer
Re: iPhone X takes us to the next level of smartphone, while Eric is stuck in the android trap!
This is not The Verge. If you want iSheep that are paid by Apple go there. They keep it honest at PhoneScoop
Re: This can not stand....
Most expensive smartphone you say? Wow it really must be good since it cost $1,000 right? Yes, it's greed but with a bit of psychology mixed in for good measure.
Re: Waiting for the accolades and iPhone X swooning
Nah. This is PhoneScoop not The Verge. PS has always been fair and honest which is why to this day it's one of the few sites I frequent and trust for their reviews. If you want iSheep, try The Verge and MKBHD.
A first for PhoneScoop
Wow never seen a review like this. But it's well deserved. Google messed up big time. I so wanted this to be my next. You can even see in the pics how awful the screen is. Carrier exclusives in 2017 was bad enough and now this??? They've learned nothing from Apple. Shame Shame Shame!!

Re: what's wrong with Apple?
So Apple can't say **** when they talk about Android fragmentation then.
Force Touch
*cough* "3D Touch". You know I really got to hand it to Apple for their B.S. marketing. They are absolutely ruthless. Using the term "3D" and "Retina". Such a crock.
The thing is, had Samsung or any other manufacturer came out with Force Touch first, it would be a gimmick. But when Apple does it, It's "groundbreaking!", "innovative", "a game changer" and best invention since sliced bread. It's ridiculous how the media and tech bloggers literally bow down ...

I agree but the entire industry has been falling for compromise for years. It's called the iPhone.
Re: Full RGB Matrix
bluecoyote said:
It also has a full RGB Matrix, which Samsung's screens lack.
That's the only I can agree on and one of the reasons why I prefered HTCs screens over Samsung in the past. However Samsung has come an extremely long way in recent years. I used to hate their screens with a passion. The Note 4 has really impressed me I'm very happy with it.

This is just my opinion, but I really couldn't care less about quad-HD screens. In fact, I'd rather have 1080 for the cost, graphics performance, and battery life savings. At the 5 inch size, a 1080p screen delivers perfectly sharp images and detail at normal viewing distance. I pretty much need to put my eyeball to the screen to appreciate quad-HD, and that's simply not very useful to me.
True but Joe Q. Public likes specs. That's just ...
Very disappointing
Still crappy camera and still the the old screen with the same tired old 1080p resolution. Big fail on HTC's part. I was rooting for them but now they're heading downhill just like Blackberry. Samsung will kill them this year now that they make a product with similar build quality but with a better camera, bigger better screen and better specs all around. What incentive will buyers have to choose an M9 over an S6? Even die hard HTC ...
Resolution fail
I like HTC but they screwed up with this. They are not Apple. 1080p still? Seriously? 2013 called and it wants it's phone back? The S6 will crush them now that Samsung also offers a phone with a premium build quality. Not to mention it will definitely have a better camera than the M9 and a higher resolution screen. Put a fork in HTC cause it's done.
This spectrum is garbage
It can't penetrate a fly, it would take a gazillion towers to provide the same coverage has AWS/PCS so how is it valuable?
N6 screen sharper then Note 4?
I call B.S. The N6 has 493 ppi and the Note 4 has 518. I'll compare the two in the store when I can
At the end of the day...
The 6 Plus is just a big iPhone running the same lame tired iOS. Same stupid row of icons crowding the screen, same closed system, same old B.S. Overrated, overhyped by reviewers everywhere especially the douchebags over at The Verge. Huge iSheep. Nothing to see here folks. Move it along.
For anyone who is on the fence, wait until Oct 17th and buy a Note 4. Don't fall for Apple's B.S. all because they have a "big phone"now. Please. ...
Coming soon to an iPhone 6 Plus user on October 17th...
Buyer's remorse.
Re: VoLTE Between carriers
Shakezula84 said:
At first it will be only on the same carrier. I'm sure connection deals need to be worked out or some standard for it.
VoLTE sounds the most exciting since it will also bring native video calling between Verizon phones. T-Mobile already has VoLTE and Sprint has gone a different route, using the 3G network to create "HD Voice" (same concept).
I'm confused. What happens when CDMA is sunset. Do all calls including landline go over VoLTE?
Oh by the way iSheep on T-Mo...
No LTE band 12. Bummer

You can't use logic while debating, arguing or conversing with an iPhone user as they lack common sense. They will blindly defend their iCraphones to the death, even knowing they are completely and utterly wrong.
Exactly.
Early 2015?
Poor marketing by Apple by missing Black Friday. This ugly POS would've made a great stocking stuffer. I'm surprised at Apple actually.
iSheep be like....
"Samsung phones are way too big. 4 inches are perfect".

What are you confused about? Verizon has over 100 million subs and a FAR superior network and infrastructure.
Meanwhile Sprint is ran by, and employs complete utter and incompetent.....ID-10-T's.
Sprint doesn't have a network nearly as good as Verizon - where is the confusion?
^^^^^^ This
We don't need another OS....
Unless and it's gonna be innovative or a game changer. Tizen is too much like Android.
Good alternative to MetroPCS only if....
They didn't cap the LTE speeds at 8Mbps. Big fail. Even Metro doesn't do that. What is AT&T afraid of? They got more spectrum than Verizon. They're gonna sunset Cricket's CDMA so what gives here with carrying over Aio's capping bull$hit? smfh
Re: Don't see this happening
Yeah I agree especially about #3. Sprint has 200Mhz of spectrum. Too bad if most of it is garbage 2.5Ghz that will take a gazillion towers to deploy it on. Sprint has more than enough spectrum. They don't need T-Mobile for that. The japs just want to eliminate competition.
Re: GSM or CDMA?
I don't see this going through. Lots of things against it. Sprint has way too much spectrum anyway. 200MHz worth. I don't see the government allowing one wireless provider to have 270Mhz of spectrum. Just not gonna happen
