Avoid upgrading ! stick with 5.0 / 5.0.1
Sep 20, 2012, 7:23 AM
in the Article: iOS 6 Now Available for iPhone, iPad, iPod forum

There are no big reasons to upgrade unless you are in desperate need of passbook or statustint/dnd. Everything else is just not worth the upgrade. Plus if you're on anything other than a iPhone 5 your speed will decrease slightly as well. iOS6 is much ado about nothin!

Dont be a data hog: Please checkout We-Fi Beta on android and AW-Open on iOS
Aug 26, 2012, 12:51 PM
in the Article: T-Mobile Offering Unlimited Data Starting September 5 forum

If you use a lot of data please use a Wi-Fi auto connecting application like WeFi for android or AW-Open for iOS. There are 2 versions of We-Fi, We-Fi pro and We-Fi pro beta. I recommend WeFi pro beta for those of you who have a small battery capacity. I also have tasker version 1.09 setup so that when i turn my bluetooth headset on all of my radios follow suite. Haven't found a way to do this on iOS exactly like ...

This guy pumped and dumped the company for the past few years. Turned off the web day pass and turned a deaf ear to users who wanted conditional call forwarding for controlled accounts. Can't say i will shed any tears.

This has GLONASS support right ? eg: SD S3
Jul 2, 2012, 7:42 PM
in the Article: Virgin Mobile Quietly Starts Selling the HTC One V forum

Qualcoms site says all s2 s3 and s4 chips have glonass support, is this feature "available" for the One V ? GLONASS really helps when driving, the accuracy combined with GPS/A-GPS is so much better.

The writing is really on the wall with this one. Sprint has been conducting shady business practices (like this) and "fuzzy math" billing since it was built. Does that necessarily mean that sprint meant to produce mal content ? Absolutely. The problem is sprint is now under new leadership with dan hess at the wheel. The company has actually turned around and become pretty ethical. I don't want to get into details but I have friends that work for sprint corp. and previously for ...

in the Article: HTC One X Offers LTE, Four Cores, HD Display, and Sense 4.0 forum

My cellphone isn't a PC. It isn't a game console. It isn't a book reader. It isn't a TV nor a movie theatre. And it's only rarely a music player. So how about getting back to making smartphones that are smart enough to last even 24 hours without needing to be plugged in again? :P

LTE, Four Cores, HD Display.. and 10 minutes battery life?
Feb 26, 2012, 7:02 PM
in the Article: HTC One X Offers LTE, Four Cores, HD Display, and Sense 4.0 forum

 The march of technology is great, SRSLY. Cellphone marketing has turned into the same b***s*** we see with PCs. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, and it works great but it can't even last a whole day without recharging, and that's worse than my Nexus One.. which in turn was MILES worse than my Nokia N80 was before it which could still last 3 days on a charge. What kind of battery life do you think this monstrosity will have ...

Dude, what the hells that supposed to mean ? By the way, i think its all a crock of BS and they are just going to spit out exactly what they get fed. HP needs to stop playing games and just release the damn code already. ...The code for garnet and the palm OS wrappers too!

Who does HP think they are kidding ? Release code only to have my own contributions released by them so they can look good and proffit from me ? It doesn't work that way. I'll be waiting until august to start contributing with enyo. Thanks for the enyo code tho :) See you all then. :)

in the Article: Apple Still 'Investigating' iOS 5.0.1 Battery Issue forum

I'm not saying this is true or not. But it has been floating around that there is some speculation the cause on some iPhone 4S's might be the proximity sensor being constantly polled. Interestingly enough the issues with power don't even end at the battery. There have also been reported issues with charging times. Both before and after the update. Personally i think that if this problem isn't fixed soon we might see government intervention eventually and apple would have dug their own ...

So, uhhh... where's the Galaxy SII info page, or any acknowledgement of its existence? I was excitedly waiting a Google Music service, but the lack of a download feature is a real negative for me. Am I looking to share my music to pirate it? No, not at all. Competion Hard to Do in US
May 14, 2010, 12:33 PM
in the Article: Google to Cease Offering Nexus One Via the Web forum

I think the concept was good to sell the phone directly to consumers and then you choose a carrier. However, with the US not having universally compatible phones with AT&T on one frequency, T-Mobile on another, and then you have this CDMA thing from Verizon/Sprint that it was hard to get competition in the mix. We I think we the consumers would like is to be able to use the cellular companies as "dump pipes" like is more the ...

Phone Finder update?
Feb 23, 2010, 9:21 PM
in the phonescoop.com forum

Hi all- I would really appreciate more detail in the Finder function selections - not just YES/NO on several newer categories. My personal peeve - GPS. Very few phones offer real standalone GPS. A-GPS is NOT the same thing, but to the Finder it's all or nothing in any search mode. The same goes for ringtones, data tethering and there isn't even any information about web browsers on phones. This last item is becoming very important, but as I'm ...
