Re: what they should do!! free up 2100mzh !
Right but he means setting it up so that europe 3g phones work in the US.
Only 6 months late.
I love SE phones and had been hoping for this to be my K750i replacement. To bad this wasn't released 6 months.
Sad at&t, sad.
Re: So wait..
Is this the "War on Spectrum" then?
Re: Also, LTE fixes a lot of this anyway.
Wait so you really think LTE will solve this crap? I think it will only increase the annoyance because now you will have phones that actually could work on say at&t and verizon but won't because the networks won't allow it.
I don't see things getting better, only more frustrating.
Re: Wow...
Or get individual sims for calling versus data. Or individual sims for local versus long distance or international call?

It's funny because it's sad.And it's sad because it's true?
Will Sprint be getting some Sony Ericsson phones?
Will SE join the rest of the US market?
Re: Ho hum- another flip phone
Actually think at&t just needs more SE phones in general but some candybar ones would be nice.
Re: Price War!
I'm not talking about the **** they do to their phones or their customers just about verizon's network themselves.
I have at&t in NY and my wife has verizon and I can tell you in our travels from Boston to middle Virginia she kicks my ass no matter what phone either of us have.
Never mind when either of us are traveling in the middle half of this country.
It what ways do having 3G and gsm outweigh cmda and edvo?
Re: Oh no.
at&t's loss is Apple's win!
Re: This wil be interesting...
But they don't really cover it. I was in the apple store getting my computer looked at and heard at least a few people here, "$199 to fix/replace."
Re: This wil be interesting...
Great so all phones are covered except the one that everyone is buying. Great for Apple/at&t/Asurion bad for the consumers.
Re: Price War!
Verizon's network is better in many places they would not have to get into a price war.
Re: Uhh...
That's how crappy at&t gave it to them when the decided not to pick it up themselves.

At a nice roaming fee I suspect ;)
Re: Other Carriers
Where do you live? Approximately of course.
Re: ROFL
So the Verizon 8830 blackberry with no wi-fi versus the sister 8820 that does have wi-fi but is not for verizon doesn't count?
Verizon wouldn't even let BB include wi-fi on their version.
Re: ROFL
So when verizon stops wifi or google maps on other smartphones that doesn't count?
Re: iPhone=T-Mobile killer!
Especially when you can get it unlocked and use in on that network.
Re: NO!
As long as Verizon keeps the iPhone as open as at&t has I think it would be a great idea. Unfortunately Verizon barfed at that and the payments Apple wanted figuring they'd be fine even still.
And while they are fine, they'd have KILLED at&t if they had the same version of the iPhone that at&t got.
Re: Verizon Would...
I think you hit all really good points. 1 & 6 especially!
Re: NO!
Except they'd get a lot more money from a single carrier [especially at&t] holding it up for ransom. In the end Apple wins too in $$$$$$
I am so glad verizon said no and with all the restrictions they have on their phones I can't see Apple going back to them. at&t would be dead if Verizon had an open iPhone.
Re: $10 for 20min?
50 cents per minute is VERY cheap for collect calls.
Re: C905a...even has US 3G
So you expect at&t to allow the wayfinder navigation and google maps for free on this device?
Re: C905a...even has US 3G
Right.
Probably what ever ones:
a) at&t can charge extra for
b) Don't overlap with features at&t wants to charge extra [overlap is in offer for free]
Re: C905a...even has US 3G
So things like US 3G, Wi-Fi, aGPS, google maps and Wayfinder navigation don't interest consumers?
What features are you looking for in a cell phone?
C905a...even has US 3G
It's been 'out' for a while but AT&T didn't want to pick it up just like they did with the SE K850.
Why is AT&T opposed to good phones? AT&T is a pain in my a$$
Re: Good news/bad news?
Agreed, Ericsson made great phones, T28, T39, T68...
Re: This is another point from AT&T
Thanks Jobeleca. Luckily enough I didn't get the message so I must have already opted out.
Re: UH OH!
A doctor that day took Mr. Apple away :(
Re: This is another point from AT&T
And how do you opt out?
Re: This is another point from AT&T
Verizon sends out spam crap all the time. My wife and friends [who have verizon] get 'messages', even some in spanish. So verizon is a spammer and dumb since they don't even know the language of their subscribers.
Re: This is another point from AT&T
Read the canspam act. They are not supposed to send unsolicited electronic messages of any kind.
Re: Modern day dial-up
...and shutting down aol is bad for the internet HOW?
Re: Incompetent!
Who decides which porn is not allowed? Who decides what rises to the level of porn? Is two girls holding hands 'porn', well the to some it would be...
Re: Incompetent!
Today it's not porn, tomorrow it's no google or you tube or phonescoop.
You have to keep it open.
Re: i like the idea of the filter
And if you want youtube you can pay for that and if you want to use google instead of msn search you can pay for that.
No filters.
Re: downgraded and expensive
Wow, SAD!! When did they remove the 1700MHz?
Re: Too little too late....Perfect.
Oh sorry I didn't think it had the TMobile 3g also. I was wrong.
Re: Too little too late....Perfect.
Except it has AT&T 3G and not TMo's. Still your philosophy is right on imo...
