Nokia 6225 / PM6225
Average Ratings
WORST PHONE I'VE EVER HAD
This phone is very unreliable. I have had to try to get it repaired numerous times.
CONS:
-The battery life is about 2 hours when using the phone for about 30 minutes.
-Picture quality is horrible. Very blurred and no good zoom.
-Many features do not work correctly.
-Phone freezes on some screens. -Requires disconnecting from battery.
-Phone becomes extremely hot while in use. I have had red burn marks on my face after use.
Pros:
None
Tradin' it in.
I received this phone as a present. It worked well at first, but as it kept going my phone started to disappoint me.
Pros
-the easy navigation system
-radio (although you need the special attachment)
Cons
-battery life
The phone had a horrible battery life. I would charge it, and then use it for a couple hours. After 4-5 hours, I would have to recharge it.
-dropped calls
-ringtones
Bad selection
-Camera
unclear, no zoom, always fuzzy
-heat
While I was talking, or even talking while charging, the phone would become overly hot
Personally, I would not recommend buying this phone. It has done little to impress me.
Avoid this phone Avoid sprint
The only thing this phone has is a few cute ringtones. It is very difficult to navigate. The battery life is poor and the camera quality is a joke. [...]
Ed. note: Removed rant about carrier
junk
I bought the phone and returned it after 2 days.
The primary reason for returning the phone was awful battery life. I gave it the 12 hour first charge, and it died in less than a day - that's awful!
Another thing is the sound is not very good. You get "snow" all the time. On top of that, there is a buzzing sound especially if you are talking with somebody who has a deep voice. I believe this is due to the faceplates vibrating because of the sound waves from the actual speaker.
Pros (and there aren't many)
-IR. I was able to transfer contacts from my PDA to the cell phone.
-Radio. Never tried it, but its a good idea.
-ringers. loud, and you can have vibrate.
-doesn't heat up. Even after charging, it never heated up. Even when i was charging it the 2nd time (after it died,) and talking at the same time, it was cool to the touch.
Cons: (and there are lots)
-awful battery life
-scratchy sound quality with lots of noise
-dropped calls. People say this phone has good reception but I dropped calls.
-if the phone is off and charging, the charge indicator is impossible to see
-the web browser does not let you out!
what are they thinking
i cant believe this is what nokia came to the fight with. "what are they thinking" the camera (sucks) ring tones (sucks) battery life(sucks...okay okay a few good things infraed transfer, fm radio (witch is pretty good)..but thats about it.
wish I never got this one
the battery goes dead everyday. the pictures are of poor quality and hard to see. holding the phone while trying to take the picture without shaking is almost impossible. Paying the additional price is a big waste of money.
my review of the nokia 6225
i really like this phone.
i like all of the features.
the only cons...
1-
the earpiece incoming audio sound a hollow and scratchy, there is a slight "hissing" sound.
2-
also, in trying to send my pics using an online uploader or getting ringtones from a third party site (not sprint), there seems to be a compatibility issue here. i can get the pics to my phone but it's not letting me set them for photo caller id. and the ringtones i've downloaded when trying to play them the phone says "unable to open file".
Great phone for the price you pay for
the camera on this phone can hold up to 60 pictures, which is great while other phones hold up to 30, except the nokia 3600-3650 which can hold 1000 pictures....the battery life would be short if you use the camera a whole lot...so far the nokia 6225 has the highest resolution which is 640x480 camera out of all the nokia phones except one that has a 1156x980 resoulution...but over all this is a great phone....plus the other nokia has Gegapixels while this one has megapixels....HOW CHEAP...well its a good phone
Poor battery life is the deal breaker
Overall, a feature-packed phone, but the battery life is horrible! I haven't been able to get a full day's use out of the phone since I purchased a week ago. So, no use going through other pros and cons -- I have to take this phone back to Sprint and try something else.
