A performance bargain!

Nov 23, 2011 by DrugstoreCowboy

I picked this up as an inexpensive backup for my Blackberry. I am trying it out now, and so far, it is a pleasant and unexpected surprise for the price point ($80.00 pre-paid). Here are my thoughts on it:

PROS

- excellent reception and very good call quality on GSM (no 3G on this unit)
- the built-in email app works better than I expected it to. It handles my gmail accounts perfectly!
- it feels well-built
- the Bluetooth radio is among the best I have used (Nokia generally has always produced some of the best BT radios in phones).
- the keyboard is quite nice to use as well, making it a superb messaging phone.
- the price point for this phone, at $80.00 maximum or less, you can't go wrong with that!
- uses the BL-C5 battery, one that has been around for ages and readily available.

CONS

- even though it has a micro-USB connector on it, you can't charge the phone through it. You need to use the proprietary charger to charge it.
- camera is only 0.3 MP, so only good for emailing or posting pictures on websites or MMS.

In all, this is a very good performance bargain. You won't regret getting this phone as a backup or for those who need an inexpensive phone to ride out your contract term.

This thing surprised me, has a good, big screen a great keyboard and a not-half-bad camera.

complete with a solid Nokia-build for $80.00 NO CONTRACT!

If you are going pre-paid, or broke your phone before you were eligible for upgrade... this is the perfect phone to nab!

The best basic and messaging phone!

I've been using this phone for few weeks now and I am impressed with the quality of this $80 ( no contract) phone!

PROS:
~ Amazingly clean and the best in class screan resolution!
~The best menu interface!
~The best call quality (when you call good GSM Smart phones of course!) Please note: When you call Verizon's or Sprint's phones you will never have the smoothest and cleanest sound because those companies use CDMA technology for processing calls)
~The best tetxt messaging! (No sliding messaging phone will ever come close to best blackberry style phones such as this Nokia phone)

CONS:
None!
