No sound on wet EnV

Phone went for dip. Took batt out( ruined ) took to Verizon ( no insurance). Bought new EnV @ retail. After letting swimmer dry out for several weeks, put new batt in swimmer and the only thing wrong with it is no sound. Everything is still there just no sound. Any ideas?
