😁 Trying to decide between 9900 and 8600. I really like the 9900 but the only drawback is how you answer the phone with having to find the send button to answer it and end to end the call verses the open and close flip option on the flip phones. Any opinions on this subject would be welcomed.

Also, when using mobile web on the phones, can you pretty much go where you want. I DO REALIZE IT IS MOBILE WEB AND NOT LIKE THE PDAS. I just like to browse different sites while at work.

Can you go to others besides yahoo mail? such as juno.com?

Thanks for your information 😉

I upgraded to the 8600 originally on the 17th and had it for a week. I loved the look and size but a few things really bugged me. First of all the phone is unbalanced when open, it might weigh more on the top then bottom. Also, it had a ton of glitches, maybe it was just the phone I had but text messages were screwing it all up and shutting down the phone. Lastly, it really is a fingerprint magnet, the phone looks ugly if you even touch it.

I now have the 9900 and so far it is awesome.... I text a fair amount, talk on the phone some, make my own ringtones and wallpapers, and browse the web a little. This phone is incredibly perfect for what I do. If you are concerned about things like viewing an html webpage or email, this may not be ...

I really love my 8600, I have not had any problems with it. I was intending on exchanging it for the 9900 but when I felt the real phone (not the dummy) and listened to the sound etc., it wasn't what I expected. The screens on my 8600 are amazing, I just can't believe how clear it is, WOW!!! LG did great with this. Now I have to email photos to my sister-in-law and show her what a real phone looks like (she's got one of those razr things, IK!!!)

The speakerphone was not as loud as the 9800 and I did not like how the screen sits back away from the keyboard. It's like you're looking down on the screen (kinda like the computers at the vzw store that the reps use :^)) That was a turnoff for me. I had waited over 6 months for this phone a...

Well, so far I have 1 vote for the 8600 and 1 vote for the 9900.

Also, I would appreciate any help with creating my own ringtones on both models if anybody would care to tell me how I really would appreciate it.

9900 user---is there any other way to answer the phone other than pressing the send button?

Thanks everyone for reading!!!!
I hope to get more opinions as time goes on!!! 😎

Take into consideration that the 8600 needs software in order to utilize a speakerphone. Also the 9900 has a 2.5mm headset jack as for the 8600, it has an adapter, so if you loose the adapter, you have to buy a new one. For a music phone, the 8600 sure is lacking some important features. Internal memory isn't as much as the chocolate for example.

It also falls down to style and features you will use more of. I am bias toward open faced phones i.e.(9800 & moto q) so hitting the "send" button on phones is a little more comfortable for me. I also use my bluetooth headset/car to answer most of my calls so I the flip or candybar style doesn't matter to me. There is also less worry for me to break the hinge on a flip phone as well. I have sold...

there is an option on the 9800 that allows you to choose how to answer phone calls, 1 option was to hit the SEND button another option was to hit any key to answer the phone
