LG enV VX-9900
My review
Hello all. New to this list. Anyhow, I'm an ASO at VZW and here's my review.
Phone just came in a few days ago and I was a current owner of a 9800 to which I just sold on ebay about a week ago. Was looking to upgrade to the 9900 but changed my mind due to a couple things about this phone.
The positives:
The 9900 as most all know now is finally slimmer! It's also about a 1/2 ounce lighter.
It's 2.0 megapixel camera is finally now in the quality realm of a Samsung and finally since the chocolate came out LG's can now take over the MMS limit of 15 secs of video. That's a huge improvement! Also the quality of the video is comparable to the Samsung 990. The video codec LG is now using is a much higher grade codec, or the compre...

Good review, but I disgagree with the Feminine take. I think the phone is plenty masculine...its silver and black for god sakes, makes you think of the Oakland Raiders---the most bad ass football team in the NFL.
I also thought the display themes were new and innovative and I don't think that they were "gay" as you so eloquently stated.
I do however agree with you about about the screen flipping downwards. Its kind of annoying, but I'm sure I will get over it.

Trust me, I don't think the raiders are good, I just think they have a history of being pretty hardcore. Especially those insane fans! The raiders may suck this year, but their fan base will always be a little nuts.

I also was anticipating this phone for months and unfortuatelly I was disappointed. I tried so hard to make myself like everything about it but I couldn't. I did not like the way the screen comes behind the keyboard, I wasn't very happy with the sound quality. The speakers did not seem very loud to me when I turned the speakerphone on. I did not like the wallpaper and UI choices on it either. Basically VZW wants you to pay for EVERYTHING fun for that phone. I ended up going with the Lg 8600 and I'm actually loving it. I'm surprised b/c I thought sure I was gonna return it once I saw a working 9900. I saw the dummy phone but you never get the full effect with that. But to each his own, some people may fall in love with it.

That's about it. The 8600 is actually really cool. It's like a razr that's so much better than a razr simple to the fact that it's a LG. Nice sized display too! 😛

i disagree with everyone...i think this phone is amazing..the screen flipping back is something i got used to in the first hour...speakerphone is definetly adequate...and its a very nice, not cheap feeling, phone.
