Deleting entire body of text?

I searched around the phone but couldn't find anything on this. Is it possible to delete an entire body of text by holding the CLR button, or do you simply have to keep clicking CLR to delete each individual character? On my sidekick, if I happened to type a few sentences and I wanted to delete it to start over, I could either highlight it or hold down the delete button to clear the entire field.

I know that if you hold down the CLR button, it deletes the last word you typed..which is ok I guess, but I'd rather have it delete everything haha. It just seems more useful *shrug*

Can't you just delete the message and start again?

yes, but then you'd have to go back into your contacts and find the person you want to send a text to. it just adds an extra step...i was just curious because my old sidekick made things much easier when texting. oh well..

Uh yeah that's a good question HOWEVER, i don't think it can be done. I know what you mean though> I think you can either delete a single charcter by itself or a single word by itself but that's about it. But in my opinion, LG doesn't make it too hard to search through your contacts and just find the person again and hit the option send text to them. So, i don't care too much about that. lol.
