There is a terrific service that John Hopke has set up so that you can access the web on your env phone for $12/year.

is where you sign up. There are some things that John left out that will make your installation go MUCH easier so I will give explicit instructions (except for specific proxy server, proxy port, and password which John provides when you sign up). WAP stands for Web Access Protocol and is how your phone talks to the internet.
First, there is really NO WAY to ruin your phone by using this service. The only file that we play with is one called paramtable1.fil in the OWS folder on the phone. With one menu selection, this file can be restored to its ori...

Heard back from John Hopke about a workaround for keeping the line in for checking out balances but I am not hopeful. He says he will have this original post posted on his webpage soon ( I am thrilled!). So for now, you still need to pull the line out of the paramtable.fil file. If anyone wants a copy of the modified file, just post your e-mail here and I will send it to you. Saves you from hex editing the file and the rest you can do on your phone. Still need the data cable and Bitpim tho.
