Converting DVDs to phone movies.

Finally found a working program that will directly convert a DVD to a movie that will run and look great on the LG env. Plato DVD to 3GP converter works pretty well but is still not a slam dunk. I tried a good dozen other programs and this was the best tho. The link for the download is here:

The download will only allow you to do half of the movie. If you wish to try a whole movie before committing to buy the product, do a google search on plato dvd to 3GP,keygen which should get you to keygen.ms. Remember that you are obligated to buy once you verify the product works for you. The program will work with protected DVDs that you own so you can back them up to watch on your phone. It takes abou...

Wow, thanks for that helpful bit of information. Definitely appreciated that's for sure. I alraedy have custom YouTube videos encoded onmy my enV but what I'm going to try doing is ripping a DVD movie onto my computer then somehow dragging it into my Super encoder and seeing if it'll encode the movie. I have yet to try this, but once i do, i'll definitely let everyone know if it works or not. Thanks again for your info though.

You're welcome! Plato will handle a movie on your hard drive too (which I did not mention). It will crack the encoding as well.
So far I have come up with 4-5 ways to encode all sorts of different stuff but they were all pretty complex. With WinAVI MP4 converter and Plato DVD to 3GP converter, I am now down to 2, both of them pretty easy to use. Much better. BTW, The large movies toally barf when I tried to use the USB cable to load them so I got a LOT of practice taking the SD micro chip in and out (considering that I have 3 of these phones and my boys all wanted some movies).
Next stop is Hopke.net to try my luck with web browsing.

So will it work if i load a DVD onto my computer then try to rip it to my hard drive then encode it using the Super program then? This will definitely be interesting. I haven't tried all of those techniques you listed, but it took me soo long just to figure this out. hahah

It really does look great, doesn't it? Mind you this was the pick of the litter. I went through a baker's dozen programs before I found this little gem. Did you use the settings I did or did you try other ones?

I've heard of the website Torrentz.com That would work for getting a full length DVD movie onto your phone right? Once you download the movie, you just have to encode it correct?

This is a loaded question! There are several dozen torrent sites out there. The best is probably
http://www.mininova.org/ » or
http://thepiratebay.org/ »
both are overseas and do not require registration. Movies are also a very touchy thing as the movie industry is rich, powerful, and really does not like Peer to peer (P2P) especially of their movies! I recommend Azureus (old version) with Safepeer plugin

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php »
version 2.5. You will need java too (which your might already have).
http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp »
Also load in Peerguardian 2 for windows:
http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/ »
That should be good to go for torrents and protect you.
Now back to your original question. Can you download mov...

Wow, amazing. You're definitely good. Honestly maybe I'll just hold over to understand converting whole movies over more cause i just figured out how to convert youtube videos. ahahha. I wonder why it would be so different converting an entire movie rather than a youtube video. This is honestly the Most complicated part about the enV...hahahah. Thank you foryour good job of explaing it, i think it's just too complicated for me still if you know what I mean.

Hmmm, no sound. Using a headset instead of built in speakers? Do you have the volume turned up using the volume buttons on the side of the phone? There is probably a way to mute your speakers on the inside. Did you do this so your phone would not disturb a class or meeting? Some movies do not play sounds for a bit so play the movie for a while.
On the movie itself, AFTER you convert the movie and it is stored on your PC, you can preview it using Quicktime which is usually installed on every computer. See if there is sound with that.
On Plato, there are selections that ask you to choose the audio track at the top. Choose English AC 6 channel or the highest audio setting. That will convert to stereo OK by Plato. Some of the others may not w...
