I have never heard of that problem on the enV (or any other phone for that matter). Sounds like you just got a defective device,. ๐Ÿคจ
I would have just exchanged it for another one, rather than wasting my time troubleshooting the device. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Now, please don't take this personally, but it sounds like you may be doing something wrong. I have never heard a phone powercycling just from deleting messages in the outbox... Hmm,... Maybe you should just set the phone to "auto-delete" so the phone delete's your old text messages for you. That's the only solution I have come up with. ๐Ÿ™„

lol no im not stupid i know how to erase text messages and when other ppl did it it would power cycle aswell. there is no ways omeone is so stupid they powercycle their phone when they erase a text message. the phone was doing it. when the enV was on my acocunt and my bf erased a text, it would power cycle, when any of my friends would do it, it would power cycle.
when anybody erased a text from the outbox, it wo0uld powercycle. it wasnt anything i was doing.

๐Ÿ˜ I know this is an old thread, but I had the same problem. No, you're not doing anything wrong, all you need to do is get the phone's software updated to the latest version (which you can do at any Verizon store that has tech support). I just did this today and it fixed my problem (the phone would power cycle 75% of the time that I tried to delete sent messages).

I'll tell you something here. I agree with Ashaneen. I'm not saying you're stupid or anyting but with my enV even when i had the first version of the software, it NEVER powercycled on me. I've never heard of this myself. ๐Ÿ™„ It is possible that the new version 2 software update will solve the problem but like i said with my enV even when I first got it, this never happened. I've never had a problem with my phone before.
