First, thank you for all the knowledge you have shared! I read all 14 pages of the forum and have learned a metric ton.

BUT...(yes the but)...

I don't see any information anywhere on syncing the enV to Outlook thru a Mobile Office Kit. I would like to sync (without using the wireless sync subscription) to my Outlook calendar so I have my appointments with me.

(I've asked the tech support guys and the salespeople too...way too much time spent in that store and no confident answers)

From what I've gleaned from this and other forums (like Howards) is that I will NOT be able to sync my calendar to my enV and vice versa. Is this True?

I'd appreciate any information on synching my Outlook calendar with my phone. Even if it means...

I'm sorry I don't know the answer, but have you tried bitpim? It does do some calendar stuff, but I don't use the calendar so I can't say if it will solve your problem. Also, have you tried call *611 and asking?

Yeah...I called several times before scouring the internet forums and finally posting here.

*Update*

I'm still trying to get the software for the Mobile Office Kit, although I have the correct cable. I cannot find a place to download it online.

Thanks for the reply.

There's a section in the bitpim help describing how to sync outlook with your phone. Have you looked at that?

🤭

Goes to show I didn't look everywhere!

Looks like it might do the trick! It's a 'little' involved but that answers my question anyway. I'll keep messing around to see what other options I can find and report back.

THANKS!

I'm curious to know if you find anything. There's another program called QPST (I think) which I haven't messed around with that might have something. I really can't believe verizon doesn't have a ready solution for this. What's the use of a calendar that doesn't sync with outlook? There is that exorbitant $20/month wireless sync that does sync your calendar with something, but with what I don't know.

Yeah, to add, all I know is that with that wireless synch subscription, you acn synch your contacts and emails with your PC and have it set to a specific time each day when it will automatically synch up all your email and contacts. Other than that, I'm not 100% sure but yeah, definitely try searching around on BitPim because the answer could possibly be staring you straight in the face. Hope this helps...

I was under the impression that the $20-wireless sync works with the Outlook calendar and emails. But I think you have to have a pop3 server running all the time for it to work. 🙄

I'm thinking of buying the enV. Were you able to synch the phone with outlook?

With the Mobile Office Kit you get software created my SMith Micro, its called Mobile PhoneBook Manager.

It allows you to sync calendar/contacts to/from the phone.

You are able to import/outport with outlook/outlook express with a push of the " Import and or Export" button on the application.

You can also import/export any CSV file as well
