Sidekick 3 vs. Blackberry Pearl
I am a Sprint user, the Sanyo MM-7400. I have become dismayed with Sprint recently (they tried to screw me on an upgrade), & am considering a crossover to T-Mobile.
The 2 phones I am considering at this point are the Sidekick 3 & the Blackberry Pearl.
I am scared by the SK3's poor reviews on this board. Review-wise, the Pearl sounds like a better phone.
My primary uses: text messaging (I'm a text message addict!) & emailing. I do both constantly. I also like to surf to various sites, too, like my bank, myspace, etc. I also am into having separate ringtones for each friend, & catchy ringtones for text message alerts.
Those things considered, which would be the better phone for me? I think I am making a choice tomorrow, & ...

to me ...it sounds like you should go with watever your budget allows
the sk3's qwerty seems better for you though. Also, the plans for data are differnet .i believe the blackberrys are more expensive ..you should check the site for data + PHone minutes it's 20$ a month for the data, if you just do Data then it's 30$ data = unlim. text, web, email all that stuff
don't trust the reviews if you really want to ...try one of them ..and they should have a 14 day trial ..you should check once again and you can test it out ..see how you like it then you can return it before 14 days to get the blackberry ..

go with the pearl. i sent back my sidekick 3 for the pearl. the sidekick 3 is a good phone its just the pearl is better. with the sidekick 3 you cant do anything personally. like making your own ringtones or videos. the plus of the sidekick 3 is that it has a better mp3 player. hope this helps 😁

im having REALLY bad and stupid problems with my SK3. i think im going to switch, problem is i cant get my money back on the sk3!! so i have a really expensive USELESS phone!

the sidekick 3 would be better because the pearl is more of a corporate phone,i know i had both. The sidekick 3 would be better for you its more user friendly but the screen is a dim peice of s***. Hope that helps weirdo 🙂

I have had a lot of ppl tell me that the Blackberry is better BUT the SK3 would work out great for you since you love texting and emailing. Btw, I used to be with Sprit too. I switched to TMobile in Feb 06. I always had billing issues with Sprint. 🙄
