Got my 950 yesterday and so far it's okay - Mini Review
Well,
I got one for my wife and I yesterday at Circuit City and one for my friend as well.
It is definitely the nicest of the (all in wonder phones) IE. E815/8100/9800 etc. It's size and overall build quality and feel is awesome.
The inside screen is very nice and of course it now incorporates the LG style menu system like most other new Verizon Phones.
The outside display is fine and has plenty of Resolution and color.
Ringer volume is very loud and nice, they don't supply to many but so what.
The Camera is excellent so far and takes very nice photos and very decent Camcorder videos.
The Speaker Phone is questionable. Sometimes it seems really good and sometimes people here some feedback. But remember so does the E815....

Nice mini-review!! I'm strongly considering picking up the Samsung 950 as a replacement for my LG-VX8100, which still continues to be plagued by the now infamous "volume bug". Very frustrating because as a whole, the VX-8100 has just about every feature I could ever want except for the one that counts most: solid performance.
One question I wanted to ask you: I was wondering if you knew whether or not you can read text messages on the exterior screen of the Samsung 950? I've heard both yes and no from different people. Unfortunately when I checked out the 950 on Friday, that was one of the features I completely forgot to look at. I think I was so impressed with the ability to use the speakerphone with the flip closed,...

Thanks for all the help. I have a couple of questions for you though. Can you make the external wallpaper anything you want, like a picture that you take? Also, I have the 890 and when I am about to take a picture with it the picture looks great. After I take the picture it fades and looks really bad. How good is the quality on the 950?
