Samsung SCH-A950
I need some advice...
I'm torn between the A950 and the 8100. The less-important features on the A950 (flash, the jog wheel, speakerphone with flip closed, etc.) are making me lean towards the Samsung. Now I know this may sound stupid, but the only thing that's holding me back is the fact that the outside sometimes looks pink 😕 . Can someone give me some advice on what I should get?

You know, I was wondering the same thing. In the pics it looks more of a dark pink than a true red. Don't get me wrong, as a girl I love pink, but not this color of pink and not for a cell phone. I'd love it if it were a true red. Anyone have the phone yet or seen it in person and can comment on the exact color?????????

Yes. I saw it today at Circuit City. It is true red; it's not pink or a washed-out red!!

It looks very nice with the red faceplate. But honestly I think the 8100 looks a little better and seems more solid overall.
Having looked at both the 9800 (pricey) and the 950 (so-so), I decided to stick with my 8000 (for now).
After handling the 8000 for a couple of weeks now, I'm used to the slightly larger size. And I find that no other phone (9800, 8100, 950) feels as solid or quality-built as the 8000... it's truly a precision instrument, and I haven't had any issues with it!!
Anyhow, I still love looking at new phones!!

Also, on the VZW website, there's no longer a rebate of $100 on the 950. The price is $249.99 with a 2-yr contract. No rebate is mentioned at all!!
