Better yet pay for the phone MSRP and you don't have to worry about your contract. It IS just a phone ya know lol.

Another reason best buy is charging so much is beacuse they cannot give you your ne2 credit. Only authorized verizon dealers can give you the ne2 credit. Circuit city has actual authorized verizon stores inside the circuit citys (A.K.A. store within a store) so they may be able to work with you and give you your ne2 credit. But it is true, best buy has an exclusive 1 month deal for this phone. I'm not exactly sure when the exclusive deal started so I dont know when verizon dealers themselves will start carrying this phone. What I do know is the reason they gave best buy the 1 month exclusive deal is because verizon is still working out the glitches on this phone. So let me see: wait 21 days and get the phone from Verizon - perhaps with the glitches corrected - at approximately 1/2 the price that Best Buy is selling it now: gee, I wonder what the prudent decision should be????

I went to my local Best Buy and they said the A970 would be 349.00 (no rebate) and this includes my 100 new every 2 discount. Went over to Circuit City and they are not selling it yet. But, the salesperson at Circuit City said they would be selling it very soon and the price would be 199.00 with my new every 2 discount (349 - 100 NE2 - 50 Mail In Rebate). That is a huge 150.00 difference!

Plus, still not sure this phone is worth 200 more than the VX8100, which is free now with 100 discount and 50 rebate...

i just got it at bestbuy for $299.99, i had to a 2 year deal, but its worth $299.99
