Samsung SCH-A970
This phone is disappointing!
Had it for about 3 hours today before I returned it. The screen is small. The build is just ok. The Verizon UI sucks. There is no holstering option right now, which was the deal breaker for me. Not to mention Verizon tried to charge me $15 to turn my old phone back on. That's their new thing now to take more of our money. I told them it wouldn't let me do it online so they waived it. My V710 wasn't so bad after all...

Yeah! I agree. I saw it at Best Buy. From the little I've seen of it, I don't like it as much as the 8100. The 8100 definitely has a more solid feel.
When I was at the Verizon store on Steinway St. in Queens, the rep said that the 970 isn't out yet. He did say that they had some trouble with a previous Samsung model that had a swivel screen.
So I'm still leery about it. I think I'm finally gonna go with the phone that started me on PhoneScoop... the LG 8100... very soon!!

By the way, the phone that I tried this on is one that my mother just bought!! She likes the phone, but the camera is really lousy.
Do you think it needs to be exchanged for a new one? She just got the phone yesterday!!

I have had absolutely NO camera problems (knock on wood). NO DELAY, except on the absolute highest resolution, outdoor pics are perfect-clear, bright, indoor pics arn't bad considering it is a camera phone. I'd say, first make sure the resolution is on the second to highest resolution, then when taking pics indoors, make sure the flash is on and you have adiquate lighting in the room. See if that helps. If your still having a delay on that resolution, then you may suggest she exchange it, because it may be a problem with the phone.
