Actually, before you go off on somebody, you should get your lingo correct. Verizon dual mode means one analog and one digital signal. This phone is all-digital, not dual mode....

Actually you might check your own "lingo".

Its Dual Band and Tri Mode.

For all intents and purposes modern phones are either Dual Band (all digital) or Tri Mode (2 digital 1 analog).

But its ok........i worked in wireless phones for 4 years @ best buy..... customers were always gettin it mixed up so Ive learned to be more patient about it. actually, mbcab08 IS correct. If you look up the past 10 years of CDMA technology:

Dual Mode means ONE Digital and ONE Analog.

All Digital means TWO digital signals!

Tri-Mode (not Tri-BAND)means 2 DIGITAL and 1 ANALOG.

BAND means of the same signal type like:

CDMA 900/1800

---or---

GSM 850/900/1800

(making up numbers here, bear with me...)

Plus, Qualcomm will NOT release an EVDO chip with AMPS... are you kidding me? Grow up and figure out what the hell you people are trying to say.
