970 Holster Issues and more
There are no good options for carrying this thing..
It has no antenna which means no strap to secure it.. This sucks..
The Battery lasted quite a long time today and still going..
The Camera is mediocre at best - I think the 670 takes better pics..
The worst is the connector does not work with anything. I went to the verizon store and they tried to download the phone when they realized that the connector does not fit and they had to really pull hard to get it out..
So we have to wait for new cords and chargers etc..

So even at 2MP, the camera isn't good quality?
I guess the VX8000 will remain at the top of the list for pic quality.

I dont see how the 670 camera could even be remotely beter than the 970 because the 90 has a 2 mega-pixel camera. That is better than the LG VX 8100 which has a 1.3 Mega-Pixel Camera. I can't wait to play around with this phone in the store and really see what its all about.

This is not released yet at verizon wireless!!!! it is scheduled for sept launch. so they would not have been able to help you on this!!!

For those of us hoping for a better camera on a phone, this one is it right now. For you to say it takes photos no better than the VGA pics of an A670 means Samsung failed miserably.

Personally, I was initially going on the phone's display to judge picture quality. You don't want to do that. I sent a few pics to my email and they are really sweet. I don't own an 8000, but there certainly is no comparison between VGA and these pics.

Has anyone found a holster solution yet? I bought it today and am thinking of bringing it back because of this. (Verizon is reliable, but they suck otherwise.)

I went to a "Auto Zone" store, yeah, the store you go to for parts, fluids, ect for your car, and they had a OK selection of holsters for cell phones. Got a holster for my MM 7400, works fine. Most of them were not the "leather" look though, if thats what you want. Mine has a velcro top strap, so it won't matter if you have no anntena. Mine also has a clip that locks the strap closed so your phone can never come out on it's own. Auto Zone sells these for half the price that Verizon/Sprint want for their very cheaply made ones. These are not custom made holsters for particular models of phones however, there is'nt a hole in mine to see exterior screen for instance. You just have to find one that fits your phone size good
