They say it is because they are under obligation to protect the content for the developers. Whatever, they just want to charge you for getting pics off your phone, cause I'm sure there is more money in that than selling Brew apps.
Why can't Verizon or even the BREW developers take the approach T-Mobile and Cingular have taken (I can only speak for these two cause thats all I know).
With Cingular and T-Mobile alike, whatever you buy from them... images, ringtones, games etc., you cannot send it through Bluetooth or get it off the phone period, once its there its staying there unless you erase it. If you try and copy it, or send it, it says that the object you're trying to cop or send is copyright protected and doesnt allow you to do that. Which is why Cingular and T-Mobile more than like...
