motorola h500 bluetooth -BLINKING??

New to the bluetooth world, I purchased a h500 headset as recommended on this website. Does the headset always have to blink while it is on or is there a way to set it so that it does not blink constantly?

It'll stop flashing after 5 minutes. It's in the manual that came with the headset.

If you hold the upper & lower volume controls down together at the same time, that will shut the blinking light. Great device, I wish the H700 which is a little smaller worked as well.
