Many times I take the phone out of my pocket and the ringer was changed to soft or silent depending what it was set to. I hate that you can change the ring options with the outside buttons. Is there any way to turn them off?

You can try locking the phone if this is a real big problem. Other than that, the outside buttons can not be disabled. Sorry! 😉

you can either lock the entire phone, or just lock the outside buttons. (the ones that change ring styles) go to settings, security, lock application, and you can lock 'ring styles'. their are other things u can lock to. this phone has so many weird features like locking different programs, but it doesnt have T9 word. does anybody know how to get to T9 word for texting and stuff? maybe its hidden or somethin

Yes you can ,, Press Menu then * .. This activates "Keypad Lock" .. The side buttons are disabled as well as the keypad .. To unlock the keypad simply press Menu then * again ..
I keep my phone locked all the time when im carrying it around just for that reason ..
