does your headset work well with wind or in the car? Also do any of the headsets have ring tones? It would be nice if I knew my phone was ringing.

I bought the Tekkeon ezTalker ET2000. I haven't used it much yet nor do I have a comparison.

My Jabra 250 picks up wind noise in even the slightest breeze. Unable to use it outside at all.

A regular corded headset works the BEST! Plus, it is a lot cheaper and you don't have to have that BIG junk hanging out of your ear which looks ridiculous! 🤣

With the corded heatset, outside noise is reduced and I have never had an echo problem! 🙂

Yeah, a corded one is better, but the whole point of having Bluetooth is to use a wireless headset!!!!!!!!

But why use a Bluetooth one when they cost an arm and leg, don't work as well, have echos, wind noise, and makes you really look stupid with that big thing hanging out of your ear? 🙄

Because you bought a Bluetooth phone to have the convenience of not being connectd with wires, or have wires hanging out of your ear (that looks worse, IMO), and if you get a good BT headset you don't have all the echos, wind noise and such!!!!!!!!

then why are you posting in the E815 forum where the only reason or the biggest reason for getting the E815 is for the bluetooth! You can get a non-bluetooth phone and use your wired headset. Oh got an idea if you got your E815 for free then spend $40 bucks on a bluetooth headset from ebay or even Amazon. If not get the Vx8000 or other non-bluetooth phone.

So does anyone know when the H500 is going to come out, and if so, what is the difference between it and the other bluetooth headsets currently being offered on the motorola web sites.
Thanks

Here is an unbiased quick review that I hope helps anyone looking.

Scala 500: Garbage, light small and comfortable but pure unadalterated junk in terms of sound quality. Any thinking we got a bad one sorry, we tried 3 with 2 different phones, all identically poor and even worse customer care.

Jabra BT800: Poor fit and delayed input of buttons. Poor tactile feeling of the answer button. Felt like I was crushing the headset simply squeezing the answer button. Lots of broken up static. Not loud. Nice USB charging feature.

Jabra 250: Ok, but sucks in the faintest of wind. Can't even walk with it indoors because it creates too much wind over the microphone.
Weird cumbersome charger.

Moto HS850: Please. Not wasting my time.

The only information I can give is that I had a hs850, returned it because of wind noise and bad reception for people on the other end. I got the hs820 because a sls person at circuit city says he swore by it. You know, the darn thing works better for me and was cheaper. I use it all the time. It was more comfortable, and it is certainly more clear. It also does not have the extended boom so it hides better in my hair. The only thing I don't like is the flashing blue light. Hope this helped

you might want to give the sony ericsson (akono) HBH-602 a try. this is what I use for my E815 and my treo, and it works really well. the volume is high, and distance static and wind noise are both low. this is a very overlooked headset simply because it is not generally carried anywhere verizon products are carried.

here is a link where it is sold from treocentral.
