A POSSIBLE FIX FOR EARPIECE ISSUE!!!! MUST LOOK!!!!

skorpyo31

I did some research on the earpiece volume issue, and found this very helpful post from the V710 forum. Apparently that phone had the same problem. I tried the steps below, and even though Volume 5 through 7 still sound tinny, it helped with the lower volumes. Volume level 4 is now adequate for noisier environments. I really think that Motorola should have left out volumes 5 through 7 on the e815. Per steps below, I set my audio level to 15. SEE BELOW. Hope this helps redeem our e815! Good Luck!! 😁 😁 (Not responsible if something happens to your phone. If you follow steps below, you will be good to go!)

okay i have a v265 for now and am in the market for the e815 just waiting for that NE2 to roll around on the 19th. i was wondering will this work on moto v265? Also is it Menu + 048263 + * all at the same time? or is it in some order? please explain more for the slow people like me out there. also can you undo this, once you change it just in case you might not like it. thanks in advance.

Do we need to re-program all the volume levels starting at 1 or should we start are level 8?

Will this fix the echo problem as well?

Just follow steps below. Menu, 048263, *. Do this quickly. You must input 54* to begin. Read below. Hope this helps! 😳

Use the opcodes...

First, to enter the opcode screen, press Menu + 048263 + *.

This will bring you to a box prompting you for an opcode. Before you can enter any codes, it will be necessary to suspend the phone. To do this, enter 54* and press OK. The display will go black and the phone will be...

I am having the same trouble getting past the first step. I am holding down the "menu" button, which is between the two soft keys, and the I quickly enter 048263*. It says no shortcut available. Feel like a retard! I am also confused on the 54* step, at what phase does this take place. Maybe someone could tell me where to find the original 710 link, what page in forums??

Just the audio level you prefer as the max. I suggest sudio level 15 to help with volume 1-4 on phone. It will make the lower volumes louder. When done, 4 should be sufficient for your easy listening.

i confer with grdella's question. after i get "SUCCESS" i typed in all 5*0*0, 5*0*1, so. nothing happens. i'm not sure what it means to "set audio level". Do i actually type this in too or is it a physical function? i tried hitting the volume up button. also, tried typing the actual text. can someone explain?

I'm sorry about your problems. I will try to help, but I just happened to stumble across this fix in the V710 forum, I'm not the author of it. I followed it step by step and had no problems. After entering opscode, I believe you press back a couple of times, then hit end. I'm not physically in the menu, however If I remember correctly, this is how it's done.

Ok i think i got it now...

after you do 54* and it says success you have to hit the back button.

this brings you back to the ops code thing. there is where you put in your selection hit ok and it says success again. then hit cancel/back (the ops code shows up again, then hit it again) the screen flashes off and then comes back. Then I shut down and rebooted myslef.

This is the olny thing I can think of!

More than likely the provider. I haven't had a dropped call yet. I've had the phone about 1 week. Are you getting "call lost"? This usually indicated dropped call. It may be the other party if you don't see "call lost". You may want to update roaming capabilities-*228 send. If this doesn't work, I would call 611 and have them troubleshoot.
