Cut out a 30 second clip of the MP3 you want, and usually you can just change the file extension to .midi without actually compressing it. The phone can play both types of files, but video messaging with mp3 attachment is prohibited to prevent exactly what you are trying to do. But as long as the phone thinks it .midi, it will recieve it, you can save it play it.

There are sites all over the net where you can download thirty second clips of songs, just change the extension to .midi when you name the file in the download box.
