Knocking off the rumors

Just called a local Circuit City and asked if they had any info about the E815. Rep. said they had them in stock and will be selling on July 3. Also, I am in a NON-EVDO market and they are still selling them July 3. Guess we can scratch the rumor of availibility in a non-evdo market. (Or at least I will be getting mine with all you others!) 😁

Same thing happened to me. All 7 Circuit Cities I called know about the e815, and know the release date is the 3rd of July. The ones in my area are actually competing over the phones. A Verizon rep told me their shipment was sent to the wrong mall, and he had to pick it up, and my local Circuit City didn't receive their weekly Thursday shipments for some random reason. So, I am outside of Pittsburgh PA, and that is a big EvDO area, but, the customer service rep told me they will be releasing it everywhere, the 5th of July, not matter where your location is, non-EvDO or EvDO.

So much speculation surrounding this phone! I am really in a tight spot...I have the Lg VX-7000 and used to really like it, but the longer I have it the more I regret getting it for it not having Bluetooth, speakerphone, Mp3 player, etc. Additionally, the disco lights are getting annoying and I was shocked to find out that it does not have a prepend/attach/prefix option for when you leave your home area code. That said, I do not know if it is worth dropping $300 for the E815. Is anyone else out there planning on paying full retail? Anyone in a similar situation? Any advice? 😕

I will also be paying full retail and they are giving out a $50.00 rebate i had the LG VX 6100 i was thankful i got rid of that phone in my 15 day time period within 24 hours i lost and dropped more calls than i did in a total of 4 years with my other phones. Also the signal bars on the phone bounced like a rubber ball! The only benefit is the camera on that phone is pretty good. The thing that is expensive about the phones is the accessories but if you call the Verizon accessory hotline they will probably almost always be able to give you a better deal on accessories than the store like they sell leather cases the same ones the Verizon store does for $9.99 and the Verizon store will charge you $19.99. So if anyone wants that number let ...
