Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
Razr like phone?
So I went to a verizon booth at the mall in S. Florida and asked when the the new moto would be coming out. The guy who I was talking to apparently new what I was talking about and said that it should come out to the verizon stores in about 2 week or less, but told me to wait out for a few more months because Motorola is releasing a Razor like phone for verizon. Capabilities are better than the e815 including a 2mb camera. At the same time for this release, 3 other phones are coming out that are either equal-to or better than the e815 and the vx8100. Also he said a new PDA by Samsung is coming out with a 900mhz processor and the bluetooth won't be crippled, so it won't interfere with their govt contracts! Anyone hear anything similar?

Yes the CDMA Razr is known as the Motorola MS-550 it has already been released in Korea. The Korean Motorola website has a lot of pictures and so forth about this phone if you can read Korean. it will be a lot better than the Cingular Razr. Technically it cant be called a Razr phone because like Nextel owns the rights to the name "Direct Connect" Cingular owns the name to "Razr" But this is a phone i am waiting for i will get the E815 to hold me by but this MS-550 will be a keeper!

Cingular doesn't own the name Razr, Moto does and if they wanted to they could name every phone they put out Razr (that would get a little confusing), the cdma version, as far as I've heard, is going to be called Razr.
Also in response to prior post, if you always waited for the next thing to come out with the newest and best features you would never get a phone, there is always going to be something better coming out in a couple of months.

Well what i meant to say is Cingular had a sole deal with Motorola with the Razr phone just like Nextel had a sole deal with Motorola with the Direct connect. But the official name for the CDMA Razr is the Motorola MS-550 whether they stick with the CDMA Razr or use the Motorola MS-550 I am not quite sure yet we will have to wait and see on that. I'm sorry for any confusion i may of caused. But you did bring up a good point so many cell phones are coming out its too hard to stay on top of technology these days. Thats why its too hard to stick with one cell phone because you turn around 20 days later and you see another cell phone you want that is better.
