Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood
talked to verizon rep
i currently have LG4000 & it is going through a rough spot. i went by a verizon store yesterday & the reps gave me the "what are you talking about" look when i asked them about e815.
i told them about their in store contest.
apparently whoever sells the most motorola phones from 6-1 to 6-27 gets a free e815.
i was then told they call it the v810.
i went to another verizon store down the road. guy there told me it was going to be $280.00. he thinks it will come out either on 6-27 or 7-11. his computer didn't have a release date.
he told me to check back with him on friday & he'd know more.

I hate to tell you but a rep will pretty much tell you anything to get you to come back in.. we have no been given any information of when we should have the phone in store.. the best bet is look for someone from RS to post that the stock number has been placed in there system.. after this happens it should only be a few weeks away.. if anyone looks back to the v710 forum they will no that they launch a contest on the v710 last june but we never recieved the phone till aug... and btw the v810 was a phone released to smaller cdma service providers.. verizon passed on it to bring us the v265....

In the retail stores we really dont know when it is coming out. The phone info we have on our computers still does not list an ETA for it. It's not the reps that are giving you the run around, it's that the company hasn't released the info to us yet.

I wish they would of released the V810 instead though the V265 is a sorry phone. Maybe they will bring it in stock sometime it looks like a nice phone haven't read up on it much though but it is the big dogs in Verizon who don't say a word about phone releases or anything about phones which i think is stupid. I think people should know this information its not like its super top secret or anything we don't need to know all the details a release date would be nice.

They didn't go with the 810 because the antenna was visible through the camera. the 265 is just a redesigned 810 so the 810 would have probably have had the same problems.
