Do u think Verizon will sell the E 815 at Best Buy or at any store other than Verizon Wireless store.

I am pretty sure they are going to be sold at Radio Shack. I was in a local RS store yesterday and asked "do you have the E815 in stock?" and was told "not yet". At least the customer service representative knew what I was talking about and didn't give me the look of being an alien from another universe.

Motorola has an agreement with Radio Shack to give them the phones 2 weeks before they are even released by the carriers i find it always best to buy from the actual carrier its less hassle if there is a problem and I'm sure it will be carried at best buy i read on hear from best buy employees even talking about the store demo.

Actually it is better to buy from an indirect that purchases their phones through the carrier. This is the case at RadioShack, if there is a need for warranty exchange at the carrier store it can be done, if there are issues were the phone might have better luck being repaired or there is no carrier stores in the area, than a RadioShack can still help. If a phone is bought from a carrier store it can only be serviced through them. So your hypothesis is incorrect.

I dont agree, for one simple fact...the indirect sellers like RadioShack do not employ verizon reps. This, in turn, makes service more difficult due to the radio shack reps not being trained to maintain accounts properly. It also makes returns a hassle since you can't return the phone within the return period to a verizon store; you have to return it to RadioShack to get a refund or exchange.
I would suggest going to Circuit City if they have a Verizon kiosk, as they have Verizon Employees working there. Circuit City locations also tend to offer some better deals on the phones as well.

HA HA HA! Radio Shack employees are trained longer then VZW employees on Verizon products?!? What a joke. You know how many complaints we get about Radio Shack employees at VZW corporate stores? I have yet to meet a Radio Shack sales rep that makes anything close to what VZW sales reps do for that matter. Most VZW sales reps make as much or more then Radio Shack managers. Get a clue.

VZMoney I agree with you i cant tell you how many Radio Shack employees push cell phone customers away. Its like they go to Radio Shack and Radio Shack gets all their different phones and services mixed up which they have had next to no training on and than i see people go right directly to a corporate Verizon or whatever carrier it might be to get the straight facts about the phone and service and purchase the phone from there. Now thats a fact!

Thanks VZMoey and motoman! I want to know exactly how much training RadioShack employees get. I get loads of customers that were sold phones by RadioShack reps who didn't know what they were doing. I dont blame this on the RadioShack reps at all, but in the long run it creates more hassle for customers. I rarely can figure out what the heck the rep did on setup due to lack of notations on the account. I dont know if this is an issue caused by using different account maintenance systems between the two companies or not, but it definately makes my job harder to help the customer as quickly and efficiently as possible. I give RadioShack props for their sales pushes, but they sell for many companies, which can cloud focus on customer needs...

actually I am a radioshack MIT. To tell u the truth we recieve training on the phones but it is lacking. Most employees have to pass a wireless test to be able to be n the sales floor, but it involves questions like "what is a text message?" I have been employed now for about 5 months and there are still lots of little things I don't know. Its more complicated because we offer 2 contract phone services as well as 5 prepaid services. Once u add in all the different phone models that come through our stores it can get a little confusing.

Main thing I would do when dealing with a radioshack employee is look at their nametag. Radio shack employees have this "x years of service" label under their name. if x is non existant or < 2 you m ...

I feel that this is more than appropriate.

Anyway, RadioShack is an alright place to buy phones from only if you get your phones from a busy store (where they do at least a phone a day to stay sharp), and you ask the salesman all the right questions.

RadioShack is no busier than Verizon stores in most cases. Most of the stores I know of are top 2500 stores which have an average of more than just 1 phone day and offer to most companies.

Yea Radio Shack stays busy sometimes i will give you that but it isn't usually with phones or accessories they are way over priced. I went in there and a employee didn't even know what a transflash card for a cell phone was or what a transflash card was period and he is like we don't sell them i said turn around they are right behind you how much are they and than i regretted asking the price and went to circuit city and got a good price they had a corporate Verizon booth set up and they the employees knew what they were doing you cant beat that with a stick!

Unless you were looking for that transflash card within 3 months of the 710 release, then the price has actually been competitive with online prices. Our accessories are all priced like the carrier stores. It does help if you get packages with the phones because of the discounts. I apologize if you found an employee that doesn't know his product, but I will tell you that most of the stores I know can tell you the quality of a phone without question. There are 17 tests just to become a salesperson, including a wireless certification not given to Verizon staff, as well as a class taught by Verizon's representatives.

its not just that it was the selection it was 128mb transflash card for $59.99? I went to Circuit City got a 256mb transflash card for $40.00!

Thats impossible my friend, since the 256mb card wasn't out when we had that card for 59.99 which was in its first two months of being on store shelves. Retail on that item is about the same price if you get it with the phone, or $5 more since theres is on sale. Oh and they don't have the 256mb in their online catalog either.

I acutally saw no formulation of a hypothesis, let alone a valid test of said hypothesis only the posting of a idea- thought or opinion, might I suggest a course in the Philosophy of Science as well as logic- can could we please get this phone out on the market so we can all start waiting on the next new phone! 😁

Hypothesis: A specific statement or proposition, stated in a testable (researchable) form, predicting a particular relationship among multiple variables.

The hypotheis not stated in extreme scientific way that indirects or RS mainly is a bad place to buy, My answer to this was that it is a great place to buy and gave reasons and examples to back my statement as well as a rebuttal to conflicting information.
