E815 Functionality Questions

For those of you who are testing an E815, I have some simple questions to ask you. I'm a Sprint customer at the moment, and I'm switching to Verizon Wireless when this phone comes out. I've read about the love/hate relationship people are having with the V710, so I'm hoping some of you can answer my questions. First: Can MP3s be set as ringtones? Just wanted to know out of curiosity. Second: How much better is the E815 over the V710 overall? Third: I understand the E815 is a cell phone, not a laptop like most people think. How does it rank in your own personal opinions vs. LG's VX-8000? Thanks.

I have had the V710 since the begining so I was able to make a good comparison. The E815 is worlds better than the V710. Just remember that it does not have analog.

Camera is Much Better
Front Cover is Much Better
Software Stability is Much Much Better
Look of Menus is Cleaner looking with skins
Battery Life is A little better but not much
Key pad is Way way better
Inside Screen scratching has been fixed
Nice new ring tones
Outside Display now shows same wallpaper as inside
40mb internal memory ver 10mb for v710
Evdo/ 1x where V710 is 1x only
The V710 is still a great phone the E815 is just what the V710 should have been from the start.

I like this phone more everyday

Sure you can. The V710 supports BitPim. All you need is a data cable and the free download.
