cingular browser gprs settings...need help!!
i need help finding the wap gprs setting for cingular i found the settings that someone had posted previously but they are not working i get an error request timed out. so does anybody know of different settings for it or if you know how to fix the problem. please help me 😢 thanks

I have the same problem, I have Cingular in Albany NY, where the GSM coverage is bad. I have 3 other cingular phones in my house all with 5 bars of signal.. and my D500 has no service, beginning 1/2 mile away. I can't believe i spent so much on the phone for it not to work. I need to call my phone from my house to retrieve my voice mail. I have tried to imput the WAP settings as posted by other users.. I immediately get a "no network" msg. I have called Cingular, they will not help because it is not a phone they sell or recognize.. Samsung USA will not help, they did not even know the phone... once they found it (using phone scoop) they said it is not a phone they recognize in their US market and I would have to find help elsewhere. My Cingular store was of no help to me, neither was Samsung. I was able to get my phone working with my Cingular service, and it works fine now.
My first question would be, did you enter the Cingular settings exactly as they are listed on this board? Second, did you then select that profile, or did you leave it on the default one?
I'm no expert, but it sounds to me like your area uses GSM 850 alot, hence your lack of service after 1/2 mile. Keep in mind, Cingular phones are all GSM 850/1800/1900, while the D500 is GSM 900/1800/1900. I got lucky in the fact that the only times my phone needs GSM 850, it seems to roam on TMobile GSM 900, which is so rare an occurance that it is acceptable to me.
