How do i set T9 dictionary to be default?

Does anybody know how to set the t9 dictionary to be default in SMS? Every time I start a new message, i have to change it - which is a real pain.

(Newbie D500 user who is totally unimpressed with the user guide I got with my phone. )

MrM fixed that one for you, but go to howardforums for more 😉 great phone with so much left out of the manual.
