RF on this phone is good. Better than the 8000. But remember, neither phone is tri-mode so overall reception and coverage is not as good at the 9900, which IS tri-mode.

This phone has AWESOME RF reception, but I am only comparing to my old Kyocera 2235 (which I thought was still pretty decent). I am getting one to two bars in places where I would get zero bars before. I hate all the little annoyances of this phone (SD card functionality, photo ID only on inside screen, etc.) and was considering retuning it for the 8000, but may just keep it because it has such good recption and call quality. After all, that's what a cell phone is all about...phone calls.
