MiniSD Misconception
Many people have a misconception of the memory card.
You can upload mp3s to the miniSD card and the phone will play those mp3s. I know because I have done it with the 8940 and the mp3 player is awesome--you can create a playlist too.

did you transfer the mp3s from your computer to your phone by putting the SD card into your computer..putting the files on your card, then putting the card back into the phone?

I stated mp3s, not pics and contacts. The manuel is correct about pics and contacts---cannot use a memory card reader to transfer these files.

If anybody finds a way to get around this problem by hacking in the phone's software, please let us know! Some of the more advanced and daring users may find a way to get the pics and wallpapers onto the phone through the SD card. I'd love to be able to do that.

yea man, I agree, please share the information.. i have a friend who told me today there are ways to upload your own mp3's to a website via pc, then to your phone, for free. I'll keep you guys posted. I'm hoping there will be a way to retrieve and add video also from your pc so i can load movies , shows , or whatever i want to the card.. otherwise I feel the phone is no different from cheaper models.
