Yes, the stores now have both the 890 and the 8000 in stock. Some have the 8940 too. None are on display yet, but if you have a friend on the staff, he may pull them out from behind the counter and let you see them.

The Audiovox 8940 is in route and should be in hopefully at the same time they launch all three phones on Feb 1.

How do they compare? 🙄

Don't get hung up on which one has a better camera and base it only on megapixels. There is more to a good camera than pixel count.

The 8000 has a bright and large screen. The pictures, both indoors and outdoors have good color and saturation and generally look better than the 890. But the 8000 is HUGE!! No, it will NOT be comfortable in a pants pocket. The 8000 is one of the ...

Great review! Thanks for all the info...
I am gung-ho about the 8940. I am wondering if the colors of the phone are the gray plastic with black keypad, or all black (because I prefer the latter). Also, can you tell me if when you connect a headset to the phone, you can answer incoming calls by answering "yes". I am upgrading from a Kyocera 2235, and this was a very nice feature.
And, will Verizon offer a package to buy with the mini-SD card included?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure what colors Verizon will offer the final production phone in, maybe both, less hope.

If you have a headset with an in-line button, you can answer the call by just pressing the button. You can do this with the p...

I have it, I haven't read the manual yet, but after looking at the three phones in the store I decided on the 8940. It is very sleek and comfortable. You do not have to extend the camera, you can keep the slide open and take pictures without even opening the phone. My service rep told me I can download mp3's via USB cable, (which is not available yet) and does not come with the phone. She said they can be used as ringtones. The volume and the ringers on the 8000 were much louder and better, but the phone is as big as a phonebook.

Jim, thanks a ton for the review, I was leaning towards the 8000 but the 8940 just got bumped up. 😁 Much appreciated.
