There isn't too much info out about the 8940, but it seeems like the 8000 has a better camera(CCD). But if the 8940 has a better screen i think its better overall, because it has a miniSD expansion slot which will enable storage up to 1 GB

What makes you say the 8000 "seems" to have a better camera? What is that based on?
The mini SD card is a major advantage not just for storage, but it is removal so you can transfer files and pictures back and forth with your computer instead of being charged for every email through Verizon.
It should also make syncing with the contact and scheduler very easy.

I agree that the 8940 is better, but i'll have to see them (and the SE S710a) to know which one I like. Hopefully they will all be out in the first week of February 😉

Actually the 8000 doesn't use a CCD sensor, it uses a CCD "type" sensor. It is a play on words in the specs. The sensor is a CMOS sensor, very simliar to the 8940.
I didn't know the 8000 went to a 10X digital zoom. Have you tested it at the 10X zoom? When I tried the zoom with a moderate zoom, I did notice a lot of pixelazation even at a limited zoom. But that will probably be the case with any cell phone camera. Even on expensive ditigal camera the experts t...
