Audiovox CDM-8940
Where is the support?
I have been to many forums the past couple weeks, but this is by far the most barren of forums. You would think this phone isn't coming out anymore, to be honest I am leaning towards buying a S710 from cingular. But I think this phone is way better (at least on paper) than the VX8000. I compared the two phones on this site and the 8940 still beats it (yes still on paper) whats the deal. You would think the LG is the best new phone coming out by the forums. This forum hasn't had a new post in a week with me being the exception, is the phone delayed? Is it the media coverage with everyone talkin about the LG. IMO, if a phone has a megapixel camera it should come standard with a memory card so I can save more pics, there is nothing worse...

That's a question you should ask the 8000 Forum. This Forum is for the Audiovox 8940.
Even though the 8000 has not been released yet, the only "gossip" is that it is possible that LG has that capibility built into the pre-production phone but most likely Verizon will deactivate it in the production model before it is released just like it did with the Moto 710.
The Moto 710 can due it with the removable SD card but with a fixed card it most likely can not be done except through email or transfering them to Verizon pix.
But again, that is only "gossip", the phone has not been released yet! 😢

The phone is not due out until February and no one has it yet. So what are we suppose to talk about, gossip?
No one has and REAL knowledge of how it works or how good it really is except on paper.
This Forum is about helping phone owners and potential owners with questions or tips on the phone. But since NO ONE has used the phone, what do you suggest we discuss? 🙄
Speculation and gossip helps no one, sorry. When it come out, I think you will find this Forum very constructive. 🙂

This Forum is for speculation and gossip, its used to hype the phone up and provide little details about the phone you didn't know yet. When you are researching a phone before it is out, for some reason the speculation and gossip does help(as soon as you learn to edit the bias out). When it comes out I will check the User Reviews for better information. Anyway my point was I think this phone seems better than the LG.
