I think I read somewhere that it cannot be done. Sorry sorry. -Lorna

The phone can do this but, I know US cell has disabled it in the phone.
You wait of a phone with features and carrier rapes the phone. 🙄
Also US cell has fixed phone so you can only use ringtones you buy from them. 👿
I have read that if one setting is changed in firm ware phone can use any ringtone including mp3's in memory or MMC card.

VzW does the same thing, of course. I wonder how many people will change that one setting in the firmware........ and also wonder how well supported the phone will be by the carrier if they discover that the firmware was altered..........

If you have the right software and usb cable it is like changes a zero to a one. Carriers could do it and it should not have anything to do with their network. But they may not sell as many ringtones..

And how does one acquire that software? -Lorna

It seems to be copyrighted and only for Carriers tech people. Some talk of cracked verisons out their but that is always a danger est thing to do. Makes me made I can not go to dealer and say just fix it if they have access to software.

If they want to sell ring tones for this phone they will need to make it easier. When I look at Get It Now I see only eastern-song-based ringtones. Am I missing something? (My prior phone was a Samsung i600 and I was able to create and use my own tones based upon just about any sound format.)
