Were they authorized dealers? Cuz the ones who arent dont know...
They were actual Verizon stores, not agents or retailers.

I spoke with 3 Verizon stores today, and all 3 told me that Verizon will never sell this phone directly. Something doesn't smell right with this phone, and it's a shame.
It's the Bluetooth. The only handset for Verizon that was going to have a regular stack.

So that's a good thing, right?

No, that's a bad thing. All of Verizon's handests have had crippled Bluetooth until now and it was hoped that the Nokia 6256i would be the first Verizon phone with full, industry standard Bluetooth.
If Verizon did that, all of their prior excuses for crippling bluetooth would have been unsubstantiated.

So, FINALLY a fully functional bluetooth profile on a VZW phone and you call it a bad thing? Wow...So much for what consumers want ehh? 🙄
I'm having a hard time with his logic as well. I see this as a positive development.

No, the "Never available at Verizon stores" is a bad thing.
I don't think it is going to happen.
FYI, per my new thread earlier tonight, I just bought it at the Best Buy here in Portland today; I got their last one.

My guess is they don't want to have this and the razr in the store at the same time . Nokia is cheaper and has more functionality. 🙄
And it has a full Bluetooth stack.

Nokia 6255i is garbage compared to the RAZR. I've used both. Nokia feels like a plastic toy. Noises and creaks. Didn't they ever fix that hinge problem yet? On the other hand, the RAZR is a phone to give your left &ut for.
RAZR is cute, but in da end is a pretty boy phone that you'd be afraid to use an' abuse. I sure wouldn't give any body parts for it. 🙂
