I was informed by a Nokia rep, that Verizon decided to pass up the Nokia 6255i, and instead chose to go with the 6235i. He said that the 6255i might be carried through some indirect dealers for Verizon like Radio Shack though. He also said that Nokia is not happy with Verizon's decision and that they might give them the choice of either taking both models or taking nothing! Ouch...lol So I guess time will tell what agreement Verizon and Nokia come to. But if they do end up selling the 6255i, it won't be for about 3 months, due to the fact the the regional carriers get a 2 month exclusive hold once they get it and USCC won't be getting until the end of May.... He also informed me further on the delay for USCC. In a nutshell, since USCC hasn't...

I agree,....and why would they want to take the 6235 over the 6255 though? What is the major advantage of carrying only that phone. Also, I would think they would want both! What do you guys think?

verizon puts a lot of strict rules on the phones that are released on their network. If you haven't noticed already LG is the dog of verizon, whatever verizon says they do, that is why that got so big so quick. Nokia on the other hand doesn't like to play by verizon's rules so in turn verizon only releases that crappiest phone that nokia makes in order to damage nokia's rep. Ask any verizon sales person what they think about nokia phones and they will laugh in your face. ask any cingular or gsm loyal and they will praise nokia phones, in short, a feature packed nokia phone will probably never be released on the verizon network plain an simple, but the latest greatest LG phone will be released as soon as it is ready
