Just because US Cellular is on the list does not mean that Verizon, Alltel, Sprint, Western Wireless, and all other CDMA providers will get this sometime.
Alot of US Cellular phones they offer seem to be Nokia. because they are a small provider outside of the midwest I hope they don't have an exclusive time on this phone, but they might. 🙄

Verizon will also be at least testing this phone. And for the record, very few of USCC's phones are Nokias, we actually only carry two. Most of ours are Motos, unfortunately, along with LG's, Audiovox, and Kyocera.

When US Cellular was TDMA I saw about 85% Nokia phones. Today about 40% in Chariton, IA. Nokia seems to be the best sold probably because they are cheap or free. Next I see is Kyocera probably the same reason. I usally see about the same for LG and Motorola. I don't see alot of Audiovox phones for US Cellular around here, but I know they do offer them.

I will say I am not an expert, I only go by what I see.

Ok 85% was during the days of TDMA in 2000-2002 you rarley saw anything else where I lived. Sometimes a motorola or 2.

Since US Celluar has gone to CDMA it now seems to be 40% in Southern Iowa.
3585 the most, 3588i, 6585, a few 6015i. Nokia is still the king in my hometown. It could be that LG or Audiovox is the king in most of US Cellular's markets. All I am saying is that Nokia is the still the phone of choice in southern Iowa from what I see.

I do see a rise in clamshell phones and they seem to be LG and Motorola. Once the exclusive time is up the rest of the providers will have the ability to offer the phone.

What makes you so sure? Have you heard from a rep or some insider people? Or is it just a huntch? I need to make a decision as to which company to go with and if you tell me it will be with VZW in a few months I will wait and won't sign a new contract with Cingular, because I want a new phone and to get it cheap I need to sign a new contract. Plus I travel a lot and VZW will suit me well. GSM sometimes does not have coverage everywere. I cary a VZW prepaid for just in case...

Cannot wait! It's been introduced a year ago. How lo-o-o-ong can they test it? Or you say they only will be!? What's the deal? Why has this phone got stuck like that? I am really curious. Industry wars?

No kidding! I'm so tired of waiting for this phone! How long can it take?!

'course, that won't stop me from bitching if it comes out but had bugs. That's why they don't listen to impatient people like me. :-)

wow Paul..very very true and honest...yes it was introduced a long time ago..but then they have to get FCC approval and then each carrier has to be prepared to sell it...US CELLULAR doesnt even have video messaging yet..but they will still carry this phone...it seems like with cdma technology it does take a little longer..but then again look at the bugs of the V710...and all you verizon impatient customers thought it should have come out so much sooner...so it just does take time...
