Re: AT&T Mmode Button
A couple comments on Mmode -- it's a service I never use. It's painfully slow. Content is minimal (maybe there is a lot on there, but at the speed it loads, I'd be 97 years old before I experienced all of it). I believe AT&T charges you for every time the Mmode browser fires up on the phone. Basically -- it's a trap. It's big 'ol AT&T trying to force their extra services on their consumers. When will they learn that's not the way to gain consumers.
If my company wasn't paying for my cell plan, there is no way in hell I would be using AT&T. GSM service and signal is spotty. They use deceptive tactics like the Mmode button onslaught.
I know there are ways to get the T637 flashed back to it's original software -- thus getting the standard 'menu' button back to the right soft key. If anyone has knowledge of who will do this, please pass it on.
Until then .. I hope everybody is enjoying the phone -- it really is a nice piece of equipment. And I hope somebody from AT&T product and/or marketing are reading this board. You really should think about your business practices.
