T637 and automating long dial strings

Well, I'm a new Cingular and SE user after many years of Sprint and Samsung & LG phones.

One feature I cannot seem to find is a way to automate the entry of keystrokes --- typically for getting into corporate voicemail or using a calling card.

I thought this was such a no-brainer that I did not even check it in the research I did...

I just want to be able to enter pauses and special characters (such as #) into my dialing... can't seem to do it!

Hopefully, someone can point out my oversight (I know that there is a credit card option but that doesn't allow for timed pauses, and special characters)

thanks

To insert a pause, hold the 7 key and a "P" will appear. The pause is a little longer than I would prefer and am used to, but it is there.

What you cannot (at least I haven't figured it out) is save a long number to the SIM card. Because of that you cannot assign it to a speed dial number. My workaround was to simply keep it in the phonebook only 9not SIM) and assign a voice command instead of speed dial number.

Hope this helps.
